My name is Whitney McKnight, founder and publisher of The Edge, your source for reliable, independent news and information empowering the citizens of Berea and Madison County.

I started The Edge because our region deserves transparency. Without The Edge, the actions of the powerful would go un- and under-reported. The Edge also was my way of addressing our area's gap in comprehensive, unbiased reporting on essential topics like land use policy, the back story to decisions made by elected officials, as well as how federal and state policy decisions impact us locally.
